If you found a three glass type I would defiantly be interested,

Yes would be interested in housings and will have to use plastic lenses
Leland has some repro lenses I think,I may have to make the bezels and housings?
 
Both cylinder blocks were taken to a specialist cast iron welding company, "Slinden Welding Service's" they tidy up the hole, make a piece of cast iron to fit then put both in a purpose built oven made of fire bricks and steel, they then heat it to 800 deg c,remove a section of brick to expose the area  and weld it whilst it is red hot then close it up and allow cool it over 24 hrs,the repair is guaranteed and good as new! . The down side to this! as apposed to stitching" is that it distorts bores and surfaces ( stitching wasn't an option on an external corner) so cylinders were bored and sleeved back to original  and all surfaces planed. A costly job

and yes your engine number would have matched the number on the body tag.
 
Your tag read type 122 most likely. This designates a bare chassis sold from the Lincoln factory. 105 were shipped in 1928.
 
I think I found a tail light. He has one, but he is out of town. I will let you know when he gets back and sends a picture.
 
Also,
the tail lights are made by Trilin and come up on ebay SOMETIMES. I think I know where some reproduction housings are, but there are no lenses or bezels. The lenses are reproduced by Chris Wantuck (sp) on this website in plastic.

Bumpers will be a bear to find. The retainer on the right ( i think) rear is special and says lincoln in the casting. That is only for 1928.

how did you fix that engine block?

My car is a Deitrich design but built by the factory. It is a model 152 5 passenger sedan.
 
Yes, I think it was like your project on the trailer, Is that a Willoughby? she looks Really good, The old registration document shows chassis type ..i22 ? or could be L22 or even 122 it is difficult to read it, and strangely reads 3 door saloon,,? I think this was when she was a hearse maybe? The manufacturers plate was missing but the engine No is 49175, I think all the engine numbers matched the manufactures plate number? Do you know if this is correct ? Any way the body was a real sbatrda to make! so if you need some motivation just look at my rusty Photo, Here,s another pic that made me sit down for a while!!

Well, As you see from the picture the car was almost lost due to previous conversions/adaptions and general butchery, plus poor storage and standing out doors in our UK climate didn't help. I met the late John Linegar " that was the previous owner" In 2005 when I went to help get some of his lifetimes collection ready for auction, The Lincoln was in his delapadated barn, John told me all about the car, he had a real passion for the Once Great car as he'd seen it in his younger days at one of the first vintage car gatherings in Lincolnshire, I think that was in the Forties, He bought the car in the late fifties with the intention of restoring it and having a drive, I bought the car at the sale and I told John I would Take him for a ride when I got her re-built, Sadly that never happened he was taken ill after the sale and passed away a year or so later, So back to your question "where will I get a body from" I Bought some dry ash and made a new open top body from photographs, see pic.

Hi, I have almost finished the total reconstruction of my 1928 RHD Lincoln L,One
of only two that came to the UK new, I think?
Hopefully will be Completed by spring time,,,,,, If I can find front and rear bumpers?
Oh and a pair of rear lights the three glass type! Is anyone re-manufacturing these
or even just the glasses would be good ! I can make the rest, any help would be much
appreciated. thanks, Pete.
Four things were missing from my car when I purchased it:
the Bumpers, tail lights, clock, and the BODY.
